ACT – A Technical Background

Traditional Cleaners

Conventional cleaning products are “one time” cleaners and dirt, grime and germs keep coming back. If you can imagine a hard surface being like a sponge that has tiny microscopic pores that trap water and dirt that continually build up on the surface.
Conventional cleaners will clean but the small pores will immediately collect dirt and germs again. Also, unless conventional cleaners are carefully flushed and wiped away, they leave residues, sometimes dangerous chemical residues, that promote buildup and allow, bacteria, mold and mildew to thrive.

Bio-Active Cleaners

Compared with conventional cleaners bio-active cleaners are designed to clean more deeply, safely and for longer.
The natural occurring micro-organisms contained in our products are specially selected
for specific cleaning duties. When the micro-organisms “eat” the dirt and grime they
convert it to harmless by-products, water and carbon dioxide. When the dirt or grime is
more complex the micro-organisms produce enzymes to break it down into simple,
safe compounds. Its nature’s way of cleaning the environment and bringing it into balance.
Bio-active cleaners are particularly useful for the removal of oil and grease deposits.
They are also an important resource for water treatment.

Cleaning with Active Biobased solvents
For fast action cleaning, sometimes the use of solvents is recommended but be careful –
do not use any solvent!
Active biobased solvents are a recently developed range for cleaning products. They are 100% bio-degradable and safe to use. These environmentally friendly products are vegetable based and come from renewable sources. They do not contain ethylene glycol ether or mineral acids. Our active biobased solvents deliver fast, effective cleaning without threatening you or the ecosystem.

Cleaning Contaminated Water

Apart from the use of bio-active cleaning organisms there is a new product that uses
natural processes to clean contaminated water.
This product utilizes nano sized (very small) essential minerals to encourage specific aquatic life to rebalance water resources (such as lakes, ponds and rivers). Small amounts of this product can be used to clear unpleasant blue green algae, reduce fish kills, increase biological activity and create a healthy aquatic environment.
The product can also be used to clear the “red tides” of algae growth seen along our coastlines. This natural process also takes out carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

ACT is also investigating new approaches to solve algae and polluted water problems.
One of the most promising revolves around the use of nano sized bubbles to oxygenate
water. Successful tests have been carried out already in fish farms to improve water quality and fish health.

Waste Water Pipes

Our bio-active cleaners are used widely to control grease in sewers and pipes. We also offer various products for grease trap management including automatic dosing equipment.

We are also actively involved in developing internet inspection software to identify the required maintenance and cleaning of these essential pipes (www.draindata.com).
