ACT – A Technical Background

Conventional Cleaners

Conventional cleaning products are “one time” cleaners and dirt, grime and germs keep coming back.
If you can imagine a hard surface being like a sponge that has small microscopic pores that trap dirt and water that builds up on the surface. Conventional cleaners will clean but the small pores will immediately collect dirt again. Also, unless conventional cleaners are carefully flushed and wiped away they leave residues that promote buildup and allow bacteria, mold and mildew to thrive.

Clean and Protect

ACT offer a leading range of “Clean and Protect” products to clean surfaces thoroughly and protect the surface from future contamination. This is achieved by forming a robust invisible barrier that is both water and dirt resistant at a microscopic level. Using the latest technology, such as nano-technology, the barrier fills up the microscopic pores and makes a super smooth surface that dirt and water cannot cling to. The dirt just slides off.
This long lasting invisible barrier makes for easier cleaning in the future and better hygiene. When used on automobile and boat windows it increases visibility and hence safety.

Colloidal Cleaners

Conventional cleaners, apart from many having toxic and harmful ingredients, also leave residues behind after cleaning. The dirt that is washed away can also redeposit somewhere else and recontaminate.
Colloidal cleaners are different. They use “micelles” - nano sized particles to dislodge the dirt particles and encapsulate them. By encapsulating the dirt particles, it renders them safe and stops them redepositing and recontaminating.
Colloidal cleaners are totally safe and pleasant to use. They are a perfect partner to “Clean and Protect” products, particularly where safety is paramount such as food preparation areas and around young children.

Cost Saving

Clean and Protect” products reduces cleaning frequency significantly and any aftercare does not involve expensive cleaning products. If desired, mild inexpensive cleaners can be used. They also reduce the time and effort of cleaning – time is money.

The Environment

The use of “Clean and Protect” products protects the environment by negating the use of harsh and toxic cleaners. In fact, it significantly reduces the use of ALL cleaning products.
The concept of “Clean and Protect” also encompasses more far reaching solutions to the increasing pollution of our planet.

Current and Future Developments

Apart from cleaning and ensuring that surfaces repel dirt and water, products are now available, or will be launched shortly , that will -
De mist windows and mirrors by creating a barrier that absorbs water (Fog Clear)
Create a barrier that incorporates a antibacterial action whereby germs are killed on contact with the surface.

Clean and Protect” products are generally available as separate items – in other words, there are separate cleaners and separate protectors.

Demand from customers has meant that, by using advanced technology, “Clean and Protect” can be achieved with one application. “2 in 1” products clean and protect at the same time. “Ultra Clear” is one of these advanced products with more to follow. There are other developments in progress that are creating “3 in 1” products incorporating antibacterial action.
